AGM 2021

On 28 July in Julia's lovely garden, we held the wettest members meeting since the formation of Highfield WI in 2010! We took it to be a GOOD sign as Highfield WI has survived a near closure. With the help of our two advisors from WIHQ,  the new committee (not so new for some) was voted in with Laila Ridley as President and Liz McCullough as co-president. Hannah Linguard, our new secretary and Liz O'Connor, Treasurer are both new to Highfield WI and we are grateful for their willingness to take up these roles. 

The evening was unlike any other even given the pandemic. However we managed to follow the format of the AGM with the report from the Secretary (Hannah) and the outgoing Treasurer (Angie).

We then thanked the outgoing President (Julia Luken) and Co-President (Clare Jackson) and Treasurer (Angie Bareham who unfortunately was away) and the retired secretary Cath Sanderson who have dedicated so much of their time and efforts in the last 10 years in making Highfield WI meetings enjoyable, interesting and fun. With the generosity of members, we were able to give each outgoing officer a garden gift voucher and a bouquet of lovely flowers as a token of our heartfelt thanks.
