What have you been doing in lockdown?
These are some of Helen's '2020 Collection' Little adorable premature baby hats sent to PAH. The Staff were delighted and would welcome more!
Helen says "They will be used for premature or low weight babies.
These babies can develop hypothermia in the first 12 hrs of life. The red hats act as a visible reminder to staff for closer obs, in case of other complications, e.g. respiratory problems, low blood glucose levels or jaundice.
The idea is to reduce the number of babies needing admission to the neonatal unit because they get cold or develop complications.
Parents are encouraged to make a donation if possible, with monies raised going back into fundraising for the unit. Each hat takes approx 23-25 gms DK &, as you can see, is a good way of using up oddments! Individual hats stay with the baby & aren't reused, so there is constant demand. Any contributions most welcome!

Oakmount Triangle Plant Sale 2020
A big thank you to any members who live in the triangle or in Highfield who donated plants or who bought plants when out for their lockdown exercise. We had to cancel the coffee morning this year and we sold plants outside the house from Easter till May and raised £530 which I have sent to Southampton City Mission for the food bank.
