Highfield WI meeting 22/11/2021

A festive craft evening

Laila opened the meeting and told members about the NFWI meeting in Liverpool (11th June, we can send a delegate and an observer travelling on 10th and returning on 12th) and the Hamwic Spring Council in Portsmouth in March (Tuesday 22nd, tickets £18.50 before 10th Dec).

Liz Mc reminded members that this year’s resolutions can be found in the current issue of WI Life and we will discuss them in our January meeting and then vote for our priority.

Hannah (secretary) gave other notices and then members could paint the ceramic tealight holders shaped like Christmas trees that Liz O’C had arranged for us. Members were sat around small tables and enjoyed catching up while painting.

Nancy arranged tea, coffee and soft drinks and brought mince pies, teacakes and cookies. We took some photos during the craft and of the finished trees.
