Highfield WI meeting 27/09/2021

Our first face to face meeting except for the AGM since Feb 2020!
Sadly neither of our new presidents could attend. Committee member Nancy John stood in and gave
thanks once again to the outgoing committee, and introduced the new committee.
Hannah Lingard (secretary) gave notices and then led members in a short quiz about events (not
Covid-19) in the news since we last met. Members were sat around small tables and seemed to
enjoy the questions and answers!
Nancy baked some lovely biscuits and someone else(?) brought some banana bread. Nancy and Liz
served tea and coffee and members enjoyed socialising over a drink and a nibble. We got together to
take a group photo on Nancy’s phone.
